Rotarians appointed to committees by the Rotary International president help ensure clubs and districts perform efficiently. All RI committees promote the priorities and goals of Rotary’s strategic plan.

2015 International Assembly Committee

This committee assists the president-elect in planning the International Assembly and ensures effective and consistent training of incoming governors.

Audit

This committee reviews and reports to the Board on RI and Rotary Foundation financial reports, the external audit, system of internal control, internal audit, and other related matters.

Communications

This committee guides and advises the Board on effective ways to communicate who Rotary is and what we do to Rotarians, clubs, and districts and to the general public. Rotary’s communication tools include printed publications, websites and social media, and multimedia materials.

Constitution and Bylaws

This committee serves as counsel to the Board on all matters related to Rotary’s constitutional documents and legislative procedures.

Districting

This committee reviews minimum standards for districts and recommends any needed adjustments of district boundaries to the Board.

Election Review

This committee reviews cases involving complaints or disputes over an election to any RI office, such as charges of canvassing, campaigning, or electioneering, and any related matters.

Finance

This committee advises the Board on all RI finances. It recommends the annual budget and five-year financial forecast, reviews financial statement activity, monitors revenues and expenses, recommends investment policies, and monitors the performance of investment managers.

Joint Committee on Alumni Relations

This committee advises the Board on alumni matter. It coordinates and strategizes activities to expand and promote Rotary’s alumni network and associations.

Leadership Development and Training

This committee guides and advises the Board on Rotary’s leadership training program for Rotarians, clubs, and districts, especially training for district governors.

Membership Development and Retention

This committee guides and advises the Board on membership development, retention, and education. It considers developing programs to recruit new members, educating and retaining new and existing members, and encouraging the formation of new Rotary clubs in countries that have clubs.

This committee advises the Board on matters related to Rotary’s fifth Avenue of Service, especially on meaningful ways to engage young people. This committee enhances Rotary in Africa in the areas of service projects development, partnerships with Rotary clubs and districts in other countries, use of RI and Rotary Foundation resources, involvement in Rotary programs, and membership growth.

Rotaract and Interact

This committee advises the Board on the Rotaract and Interact programs. It reviews policies for promoting and strengthening cooperation, mentoring, and reverse mentoring between Rotarians and Rotaractors, as well as policies related to advancing Interact’s purpose of leadership development and service. Under the direction of the president, the committee plans and develops program content for the Rotaract Preconvention Meeting.
