What to Expect

1. Your application

From the list on our Search Jobs page, find a position that fits your expertise and career goals. To begin the application process, go to the job description and, at the bottom, use the Apply for This Position button to submit a résumé and cover letter. You’ll get a confirmation email when we receive them.

If your qualifications meet our requirements, we may contact you to schedule a phone interview with a member of our talent acquisition staff. (Check your spam folder if you don’t see a response.) Because of the high number of applications, we aren’t able to respond to every applicant.

2. Your phone interview

A member of our talent acquisition staff will call you to discuss your employment history and qualifications. They’ll also explain Rotary’s recruiting process and answer any questions you have about working at Rotary.

After the call, we’ll notify you whether you’ve been selected to advance in the recruiting process. If so, we’ll schedule the next step. For some positions, you’ll be asked to take a skills test or complete an assignment.

3. Your in-person interview

During your interview, we’ll ask about your knowledge, skills, and interests. Our hiring teams use behavioral interview techniques to help us choose the right candidate for the job. We want to make sure that the position is a good fit for you and that you’re a good fit for the position.

You’ll also have the chance to ask questions about the job and about Rotary. We encourage you to visit Rotary.org ahead of time to familiarize yourself with our work.

Rotary’s office environment is business casual attire.

4. What's next

If you’ve been selected for the position, a member of the Talent Acquisition staff will request professional references and conduct a background check.

If you’re not selected, you'll be notified after the position is filled. Rotary and the needs of the communities we serve evolve continuously, so we encourage you to review our Search Jobs page regularly for other positions that fit your skills and experience.

5. Your orientation

Rotary prides itself on creating a welcoming environment for all employees. On your first day, you will have a new employee orientation plan that outlines your new hire training. This training is designed to help you learn about Rotary's culture and policies. Your manager and the rest of your new team will provide additional training and support.
