New ways to link to RI's database

Three database providers -- ClubRunner, DaCdb, and Svensk Rotary Service (a Swedish multidistrict group) -- are now official partners on the OneRotary project.

OneRotary allows Rotary clubs and districts that are using these vendors to link their databases directly to the main membership database maintained at RI World Headquarters. This simplifies how Rotary clubs and districts communicate with Rotary International. For example, when a club member's contact information is updated in a club's database, the information is automatically updated in RI's database as well. This integration eliminates duplicate data entry efforts and leads to more accurate information, such as on semiannual reports.

ClubRunner led the way by joining the project in November. DaCdb and Svensk soon followed, and other database providers are working to join OneRotary in the future.

How to participate if you use ClubRunner, DaCdb, or Svensk Rotary Service

Club or district officers must first log on to Member Access and authorize their website or database vendor through the club data form. Then they should contact their database provider for assistance and step-by-step documentation and instructions.

Participation is voluntary. Clubs and districts retain their autonomy and may opt in or out of OneRotary at any time. For security and privacy reasons, a club can only view and update its own member information.

How to participate if your web or database provider is not yet an official OneRotary partner

The providers listed below are not official partners on the project but are talking with RI about becoming participants.

  • ClubWizard (USA)
  • Apparitio (USA)
  • MeuClube (Brazil)
  • Swiss Rotary Media Association (Switzerland)
  • RIBI Web Template (UK)
  • RO.CAS (Germany)
  • Norsk Rotary Forum (Norway)
  • Suomen Rotary (Finland)
  • ClubExpress (USA)
  • Danish Rotary Multi-District Administration (Denmark)

If you don't see your vendor on the list, contact your database provider, call RI at 866-976-8279, or e-mail contact.center@rotary.org

Learn more at the 2011 RI Convention

Club and district website administrators registered for the RI Convention can attend a workshop on Monday morning, 23 May, 08:00-09:00, to learn more about working with RI on database and authentication integration. If you wish to attend, contact RI's Contact Center to express your interest in the workshop, which will be in room 379 at the Morial Convention Center.
