John Hewko, Rotary International's new general secretary, recently took on another leadership role: that of a Paul Harris Fellow.
Hewko also has facilitated his continuing Foundation support by signing up for TRF-Direct. The online recurring gifts program sends contributions electronically on a regular basis from a checking or credit card account directly to the Foundation.
"The Rotary Foundation has a long history of financial strength and stability and is one of the world's top-rated charities," says Hewko. "I'm proud to lead this organization and to wear my Paul Harris Fellow pin. I hope the 75 percent of Rotarians who don't currently give to the Foundation will join me in supporting our humanitarian work and in utilizing TRF-Direct when giving."
It's through donations to the Foundation that Rotary is able to fulfill its promise to create a polio-free world, and its mission to "advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty."
