Getting to your hotel

Rotary International will provide shuttle service between the RI room block hotels and the convention venue for official convention events, however, transportation to and from the Suvarnabhumi Airport is the responsibility of the traveler. Please consider the following information, or check with your hotel to see if airport transportation service is available.

Taxis/limousines and private car transfers
When you arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Thai Rotarians will be there to welcome you and help you get a cab to your hotel. RI has reserved blocks of rooms in 58 hotels, some of which have similar names; for example, there is more than one Hilton and more than one Ramada. So have your reservation information available, and when you reach your destination, take a hotel business card or write the name and address on a small piece of paper to use when making taxi arrangements.

The average fare between the airport and downtown Bangkok is THB250 to 400 (US$8 to $13). Additional charges such as tollway fees (about $4) and an airport surcharge (about $2) apply. Plan to have Thai currency to pay for your ride, taxis do not accept credit cards. The trip may take from 30 minutes to two hours.
