How to apply
The Rotary Peace and Conflict Studies Program accepts applications on a rolling basis.
To learn more, refer to the application form and talk to local Rotary clubs and districts. Find contact information in telephone directories under “Rotary,” or use the Club Locator. You also can search for Rotary clubs’ Web sites. Local chambers of commerce may also be able to provide contact information for Rotary clubs. If you have difficulties finding or contacting a Rotary club in your area, contact the Rotary Peace and Conflict Studies Program staff for assistance.
Application deadlines
The deadlines for districts to submit endorsed applications to The Rotary Foundation are:
- July-September session: 1 December of the previous year
- January-April session: 1 July of the previous year

General eligibility criteria
Applicants must
- Be currently employed fulltime in a mid to upper level position in a relevant field
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or have commensurate experience
- Have at least five years of work experience in a field that utilizes conflict resolution
- Be proficient in English, the language of course instruction
- Possess excellent leadership skills
- Demonstrate a commitment to international understanding and peace
The following people are ineligible for the Rotary Peace and Conflict Studies Program
- Rotarians and honorary Rotarians
- Employees of a club, district, RI, or other Rotary entity
- Former Rotarians (within 36 months of resignation)
- Spouses, lineal descendants (children or grandchildren by blood or legal adoption), spouses of lineal descendants, or ancestors (parents or grandparents) of any living person in the foregoing categories
- Employees of Chulalongkorn University
- Former employees of Chulalongkorn University (within 36 months of resignation)
Availability of program seats
Seats in the Rotary Peace and Conflict Studies Program are available on a globally competitive basis. Up to 30 individuals will participate in the program per session, with two sessions offered annually.
Availability of fellowships
A limited number of full and partial fellowships are available and will be awarded by the Rotary Peace and Conflict Studies Program Selection Committee. Fellowship preference will be given to qualified candidates who represent low-income countries and sponsor agencies.
