Disaster relief and recovery
Rotarians have a long history of aiding victims of natural disasters. Through club and district efforts, they donate to relief funds, ship emergency items to meet short-term needs, and provide ongoing assistance during long-term reconstruction.

Polio eradication
Want to make a direct contribution to polio eradication? Browse the PolioPlus Partners Open Projects List . This resource describes ways that Rotarians in polio-free areas can help their counterparts in polio-endemic regions equip laboratories, assist medical officers in the field, and support immunization campaigns. Volunteer for an international project

Through the Rotary Volunteers program, Rotarians and other skilled professionals further Rotary’s Avenue of Vocational Service  by using their professional skills and experience to contribute to international humanitarian projects wherever help is needed. Volunteers with an extensive range of skills, whether they’re in accounting or water treatment, are invited to participate. All Rotarians and volunteer-minded friends of Rotary can significantly contribute at the club, district, or international level. See the volunteer form or the program handbook for guidelines.

Volunteers: Register your availability

Ready to get involved? Register as a Rotary Volunteer by completing the International Volunteer Registration form.

Once you submit the form, Rotary club and district officers in your area review your skills and experience. Endorsed volunteers will be included in the Rotary Volunteers database, regularly reviewed by Rotarians and independently sponsored projects.  As a Rotary Volunteer, you will serve as a representative of Rotary.

Find a project to support

Are you a Rotary Volunteer looking for a project that could use your skills and experience? Review the Rotary Projects database, which includes projects sponsored by Rotaract and Rotary clubs and districts that are requesting volunteers from abroad.

World Community Service

World Community Service (WCS) projects begin when Rotary clubs from two or more countries collaborate on a community service initiative. WCS allows Rotary clubs searching for international assistance to publicize their project’s needs to clubs in other countries that might be willing to provide funds, materials, and technical or professional assistance. Clubs that would like to support an international service effort can locate a project or a Matching Grant partner through WCS.

WCS projects must

• Be humanitarian
• Involve Rotarians in two or more countries or geographical areas
• Encompass a project site within one of the participating countries or areas

Once you find an appropriate project, RI will help facilitate your contribution. Complete the World Community Service Remittance form and send it with your check to RI or your international office.
