An attendance competition was issued to all the districts to help increase attendance at this seminar.
| | Resources | As an award for the attendance competition, one district offered a chance to win a week at the vacation home of a Rotarian to those who attended the seminar from the district.
| | Results | Attendance at the seminar was very high. Many who had not attended a seminar before left with comments like, I should have come here years ago!
The district that had the vacation home attendance competition had almost three times the attendance of the other districts.

In 2004, District 6960 held a Rotary Leadership Institute session - Part I only. Since that time, the Rotary Leadership Institute has become a permanent fixture.
Our club strongly encourages (pays for and emphasizes) that all committee chairs and incoming officers participate.
| | Resources | None. All came from the Rotary Leadership Institute.
| | Results | Outstanding. The word is out that if someone wants to become a leader in our club, they must take the Rotary Leadership Parts I, II, and III.

Over 50 Rotarians were involved in planning, leading the discussion groups, publicizing and executing the event.

I want them to feel that they are a very important part of the club. We meet for 15 minutes once a month after a regular club meeting. Each meeting has a specific subject and I ask them to come prepared. I usually have another committee chair conduct the meeting. The first meetings were on fundraising and fellowship. Future meetings will be on the Foundation, membership, and programs.
| | Resources | | | Results | So far it has been very successful and we have come up with many outstanding ideas. The new members really like it and get to know more about the club. Several have joined the committees that we talk about.

| | Resources | PowerPoint, Rotary Global History Web site, writings of Paul Harris, RI Manual of Procedure, and other materials from RI.
If you would like to review these for distribution to other district governors for their districts, please give me an email address to which I might forward one or more of them for your perusal.
| | Results | Clubs in our district are using these PowerPoints for new member orientation and club programs. Prior to this, almost none of our clubs had Rotary-oriented programs. The quizzes are light and interesting, generating enthusiasm for Rotary history and information.

| Club Name | | | Country | USA | District | 6440 | | Training Audience | District level | | Type of training | Rotary Foundation, Rotary Info | | Best Practice | We used a game show format for most of our training at our last district conference. On Friday, we played Rotary Jeopardy and on Saturday we played Who Wants to be a Paul Harris Fellow.
| | Resources | We rented a set that had three contestants and used a computer and LCD projector to display the questions to the Jeopardy contestants. We did not need any additional materials for Who Wants to be a Paul Harris Fellow.
| | Results | We had PDGs tell us that they have never had more Rotary information conveyed in such a short period of time.
