District programs
D istrict leaders motivate and support clubs as they plan and implement service projects. Effective service projects help clubs maintain members’ enthusiasm for Rotary and encourage new service efforts.
District programs committees provide support to club service projects, ongoing district projects, and RI programs and presidential initiatives.

Working with youth
RI strives to create and maintain a safe environment for youth who participate in Rotary activities. All Rotarians and non-Rotarians who provide service to youth (young people up to age 30) must endorse RI’s Statement of Conduct for Working with Youth .
Many districts choose to appoint youth protection officers to coordinate youth activities. Additional resources and information for protecting youth from sexual abuse and harassment in RI programs, including allegation reporting guidelines and sample district policies, are available from RI Programs staff.
