U.S. Club and District Liability Insurance program

Active U.S. clubs and districts are automatically provided with liability insurance through the U.S. Club and District Liability Insurance program? The premium for general liability coverage is collected annually on 1 July through the semiannual report assessment.

Effective 1 January 2010, Directors & Officers/Employment Practices Liability (D&O/EPL) insurance will be added to the existing liability insurance Program. Please see insurance summary of the D&O/EPL insurance for more details. Information on D&O/EPL insurance can also be found on the Insurance Information portal. Please contact RI Risk Management department for username and password.

The liability program provides coverage for active U.S. clubs and districts (including Rotarians and volunteers in their roles as such for the club or district):

  • for their liability arising out of bodily injury to a third party (a person who is not an insured under this program) or damage to a third party's property (subject to policy terms and conditions).
  • for claims made against club/district directors and officers that result from their activities, such as managing the financial affairs of and establishing policies for the organization.
