Our Video pick of the month:

Building bridges

The children of La Burrera, Honduras, wanted to go to school, but most of them lived across the Grand Liure River. When the river flooded, they could not attend classes for days, sometimes weeks. This five-minute video tells the story of Bridges to Prosperity's first suspension bridge, which allowed the children to go to school and benefited the entire community.

Blogroll:

  • If you blog it, they will come

The Rotary Club of Glendora, California, USA, welcomed travelers from as far away as Australia and as close to home as Chico, California, in this post on the club's blog. In addition to club news, the blog features a handy feed of other Rotary-related blogs and news.

  • Up, up, and away

Members of the Rotaract Club of Maidenhead, England, celebrated World Rotaract Week with style, breakfasting high above the ground. Three club members, including the club president, climbed aboard the bucket of a JCB Digger and were treated to bacon rolls and fresh orange juice, along with a fantastic view.
