Keep Mongolia Green is a massive reforestation effort in and around the Gobi Desert. The project's goal is to reduce the effect of Mongolian sandstorms that cause health and environmental damage as far away as Korea and China. Keep Mongolia Green started as the centennial project of Korean Rotarians in 2005. It is supported by all 17 districts in Korea in partnership with Mongolian Rotarians. Rotarians have planted 220,000 trees and contributed US$1 million to Keep Mongolia Green. The project has also received Matching Grants from The Rotary Foundation.
