"It’s giving Rotarians an opportunity to come together, enjoy friendship and fellowship, and network. You learn a lot from sharing ideas with other clubs, and can find clubs to partner with on international projects."

Genevieve Flight
Rotary Club of Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England

"This is my fifth convention. The best part is meeting different people and seeing all the different booths from groups."

"It’s extremely well organized. Registration went smoothly. And everybody talks to everybody. I would say it is 300 percent more friendly than we thought it would be."

Nigel and Beryl Woolmer
Rotary Club of Glenelg, South Australia, Australia

"I like learning about all the different service projects. I also would like to see more Canadian goods, like maple syrup."

"I enjoy the opening and closing ceremonies as well as the House of Friendship. You meet all kinds of people -- that is the great part of Rotary."

"Making friends, looking at the projects being carried out by Rotary clubs all over the word, and the commitment of every Rotarian to Service Above Self."

At one moment your eating a smoked meet sandwich and listening to Les Fanco Folies De Montreal, the next your talking to new friends from Nigeria while walking to the Centre Bell to listen how to create peace through education, and later in the day your enjoying a Moroccan song by some new friends in the lobby of your hotel. Bringing together so many people from across the world who share the ideal of "Service Above Self," Rotary, through it's clubs and individual Rotarians, has the ability to create world peace. This convention has been an experience that I will never forget. I am sad, only because I haven’t attended a Rotary International Convention sooner.
