At 10:24AM on 22 May 2012, Jim Lubinski wrote: First time attendee. Overall enjoyed the experience but, have several constructive comments to offer. First, the logistical challenges of Bangkok often required leaving breakout sessions early to catch a bus back to the hotel to catch another bus to scheduled evening events. Most days spent in excess of 2 hours just getting to and from the Impact center. Second, the President-elects lunch would have been a wonderful opportunity for a inspirational leadership oriented speaker or to discuss some of our new president's objectives for the coming year. Seems like a wasted opportunity.

I have only one request from the organizers or RI Staff, that they should have all the speeches of the Speakers in the breakout sessions to be available for us to down load from the Rotary.Org. They can also give us the list of the email addresses of the speakers with their corresponding topics so we can choose to whom we can ask for their speech or continue the discussion on the Topics since the breakout session had a limited time. The Thai Rotarians in the Organising Committee and the many local and foreign volunteers must be applauded for their selfless effort and contributions to the success of the Convention. Bangkok in particular and Thailand in general will now endear themselves to the hearts and minds of the foreign Rotarians and guests for years to come. Lastly, the reports, speeches and the videos that are quickly uploaded to the RI website will greatly help to educate, train and motivate Rotarians and thier Clubs to give and contribute more in the six areas of focus (which are 1. peace and conflict prevention/rresolution 2. disease prevention and treatment 3. water and sanitation 4. maternal and child health 5. basic education and literacy 6. economic and community development. .
