T he regional magazines of the Rotary World Magazine Press shared the excitement of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's announcement in January of a new US$255 million grant to Rotary for polio eradication.
Bill Gates appeared on several regional magazine covers, from Brasil Rotário to Rotary Africa.
The Rotary World Magazine Press consists of 32 magazines from Africa, the Americas, Asia, Australia, and Europe that inform, inspire, and entertain in 25 languages. In addition to The Rotarian , Rotary’s English-language flagship publication, it offers magazines such as Vida Rotaria (Argentina), Rotary in Bulgaria (Bulgaria and Serbia), and The Rotary-No-Tomo (Japan).
More than half the Rotarians worldwide are served by the regional magazines, which are produced independently by Rotarians and distributed in more than 130 countries. They have a combined circulation of more than 760,000. Each magazine has a local editorial slant but includes required articles and photographs of international interest from The Rotarian.
