Our foreign networks are mostly women. Veronica Maggs, Josie Garcia and Jeanette Loftus of Flagler County RC (Florida, USA) Mickie Evans and Patsy Orr of RC Murrieta CA. They visited our club/community thru VSG and braved unfriendly weather condition. Since then they maintain contact and continue to provide help to us. We have just organized an all-female club RC of Plaridel Kristal which was chartered Sept 4, 2009. We know that they can be of great help to our community. My daughter Jasmin 25 yr old just paid her first US$100 to become a Paul harris fellow sustaining member. Hope she will be a lady rotarian someday. We have at least 12 lady presidents in our D3770 which make our organization a very happy and performing district.

Barb Hill came and joined as soon as woman could. Gerry Stipp and I were inducted together. Novi Rotary was kinder to woman in those days even though we lost a few men when we joined. We all held leadership positions.

I've had the honour of leading a Group Study Exchange team from D9710 (Australia) to D9220 (East Africa) - the first exchange to that District from any District in Australia. I thank the Rotarians in California for their courage to admit women - it's a shame that it had not occurred earlier. Women have played an important role in Rotary - even before we were admitted in our right - supporting the husbands, fathers, brothers and uncles in their efforts to make the world a better place. Now we can all work together towards this goal.
