President Wilfrid J. Wilkinson's Resource Groups

Tomorrow’s global leaders are not who they may seem to be. They are a high-school graduate starting their first year at university a long way from home or a teenager who’s looking for a way to make a difference in their community. They are today’s youth, and their actions will significantly shape our future, and that of Rotary, in the many years to come.

Because of this, it is critical that Rotary clubs also focus on youth as a means of fulfilling the Object of Rotary and truly fostering the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise in young individuals the world over.  Whether through participating in Interact, Youth Exchange, or Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), Rotary’s youth programs provide young people an opportunity to develop their character and experiences, while also exposing them to Rotary’s values of service, high ethical standards, and peace.

Over the next year, the Youth Services Resource Group will provide information and guidance to Rotary clubs and districts in programs, projects and activities that serve youth in their communities. The group will also work to promote information sharing and best practices within Rotary’s three youth programs:

In recognizing the importance of youth, Rotary is investing in its future members and extending the family of Rotary for generations to come.

Contact your Family of Youth Services Resource Group coordinator for guidance on how your club or district can get involved in youth programs.
