Tips for humanitarian grant applications
Rotary International News - 4 February 2008
The deadline for submitting Matching Grant applications, District Simplified Grant requests, and 3-H grant proposals to The Rotary Foundation is 31 March. Keep the following reminders and tips in mind to help ensure the submission process goes smoothly.
Reminders
- New applications are entered into the system in the order they’re received.
- Application acknowledgements and the corresponding file numbers are e-mailed to the primary contacts listed in the application.
- During March and April, it can take up to 15 business days for staff to acknowledge receipt of new applications.
Submission tips
- Make a copy of the application for your records.
- Keep a record of the date, method, and to what address or fax number the application was sent.
- Submit only one copy of the application to The Rotary Foundation. Sending multiple copies may cause an additional delay in processing the application.
- If you haven’t received a filing number in an acknowledgment letter after 15 working days, send a request for confirmation of application receipt via e-mail .
- To submit an application by e-mail, send it to contact.center@rotary.org . In the subject line, identify it as a new request and name the country where the project will take place, for example, “New Matching Grant request – Mexico” or “New DSG request – Canada.”
