|Description||In an ongoing project, the Rotary Club of Jagadhri, Haryana, India, has been installing borewells, water pipelines and water tanks in schools across the rural Distt Yamunanagar region. Six installations were completed between September 2010 and June 2011; one installation was completed between June and July 2012. The next phase of the project will provide clean water for nine additional schools. The club works with communities and schools to identify the most needed project sites. Most of these schools currently use hand pumps to draw water, which often comes from an unsanitary source. Each schools installation takes four weeks to complete. Additional information about the project is available upon request.|
|Resources Required||Needs: US$1,3637 to install water filters at one school (includes submersible pump and filter, overhead tanks, pipelines and taps).|
