DescriptionIn response to an urgent need for sanitary water sources, the Rotary Club of Sta. Rosa has installed deep water wells at 18 public elementary and sevenhigh schools throughout the province of Laguna, Philippines. The installed manual hand pumps allow easy and sanitary access to water. The beneficiary schools arel responsible for maintenance of the installed facilities. The Rotary Club of Sta. Rosa will be partnering with different Rotary clubs throughout Laguna to expand this water project and provide safe fitlered water to all public elementary and highschools in the provience. The Rotary Club of Sta. Rosa seeks funding to continue expanding this successful water initiative and provide safe drinking water to all public schools in the province.
Resources RequiredUS$2,375/walter filtration systems/school. This is an on-going project and will serve as many schools as possible depending on the availability of funds.
