Districts and The Rotary Foundation

Rotary districts coordinate club participation in and financial contributions to The Rotary Foundation's programs, including:

District Rotary Foundation committees and subcommittees help educate, motivate, and inspire Rotarians to participate in Foundation programs and fundraising activities. District leaders should encourage all Rotarians to participate in the district Rotary Foundation seminar.

District contributions to the Foundation

Check your district's record of contributions to the Foundation by selecting your district number from the dropdown menu below.

At the end of every Rotary year, 50 percent of each district's donations to the Annual Fund-SHARE are credited to the District Designated Fund (DDF); the other 50 percent is credited to the World Fund.

Rotary districts choose which Rotary Foundation programs they wish to support and participate in through SHARE.

Regional Rotary Foundation coordinators

Regional Rotary Foundation coordinators (RRFCs) serve 41 geographical regions, supporting district governors and governors-nominee in selecting Rotary Foundation committees and establishing and accomplishing district Foundation goals. The Foundation Trustees select RRFCs in consultation with the RI president and president-elect.

RRFCs conduct regional Rotary Foundation seminars, provide specialized training at zone-level governors-elect training seminars, and support district governors in planning district Rotary Foundation seminars. They also serve as Foundation speakers for district conferences, presidents-elect training seminars, district assemblies, and other Foundation-related events.

Team of regional coordinators

The regional Rotary Foundation coordinator is one part of a team of regional coordinators appointed by the RI president or Rotary Foundation trustee chair. The team also consists of a Rotary coordinator and Rotary public image coordinator.

Each coordinator has professional expertise and Rotary knowledge in a specific area. The team members work together to connect Rotarians with resources and to support the priorities of the RI Strategic Plan.
