District assembly is right around the corner, and incoming club treasurers can attend with their manuals in hand.

The independent 28-page Club Treasurer’s Manual dedicates a section to each of the club treasurer's main responsibilities and covers topics such as risk management and financial controls. The manual also includes a sample board report, budget worksheet, and best practices checklist. Worksheets used at district assembly are also included, a new feature of all manuals in the Club Officers’ Kit.

With its bright orange cover, the treasurer's manual boasts sidebar boxes highlighting the many different roles treasurers assume depending on culture and local laws.

Club treasurers should be sure to read through their new manuals, in particular the discussion questions in the back, and bring any questions they have to district assembly. District assembly is usually held in April or May, following the presidents-elect training seminar (PETS).
