Fund a low-cost shelter project through Matching Grants

At its September meeting, The Rotary Foundation Board of Trustees agreed to allow Rotary clubs and districts that are not participating in the Future Vision pilot to use Matching Grants to fund low-cost shelter projects in 2011-12 and 2012-13. 

Safe and sustainable shelters require access to clean water and sanitation facilities, roads, schools, clinics, and community centers. Because of the complexity of low-cost shelter projects, the Trustees approved guidelines that clubs and districts must adhere to in order to receive Matching Grant funds.

Clubs and districts also must complete and submit a low-cost shelter appendix to the Foundation along with their Matching Grant application.
