International Institute
Friday-Saturday, 18-19 June
Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montréal
The International Institute informs past, current, and incoming RI officers of new developments in Rotary policies and programs. The focus is on developing resource people who can share what they learn with their clubs and districts.
Eligibility
The International Institute is open to past, current, and incoming RI officers and their immediate family members only.
Cost
A US$160 fee applies for attendees and guests and includes the International Institute welcome reception. Additional fees apply for the institute luncheon and dinner.

International RYLA
Thursday-Sunday, 17-20 June
International RYLA is an invitation-only event where young leaders celebrate Rotary’s commitment to youth. Participants learn advanced leadership techniques through interactive training exercises. During small group breakout sessions, participants explore and discuss current issues and topics pertinent to leadership in a global society.
Eligibility
In order to be eligible to participate, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be between the ages of 18 and 30
- Have extensive experience with any Rotary or Rotary Foundation program, including Interact, Rotaract, local district RYLAs, Youth Exchange, Ambassadorial Scholarships, and Rotary Centers for International Studies
Please note that all applicants must be sponsored by their local Rotary clubs or districts to be selected for participation. For more information on the application process, please download the 2010 International RYLA Guide.
Cost
A US$200 nonrefundable registration fee includes room and board at the International RYLA venue from 17 to 20 June, admittance to the RI Convention immediately following the event, and local transportation to and from the RYLA.
Please note that housing, meals, and transportation will not be provided after the close of the program on 20 June. We will work with participants who plan on staying in Montéal to attend the convention to secure accommodations in advance.

Rotaract Preconvention Meeting
Friday-Saturday, 18-19 June

Do you want to strengthen your Rotaract club? Learn more about excellent Rotaract service projects? Build lasting friendships with fellow Rotaractors from around the world? If so, you’ll want to attend the Rotaract Preconvention Meeting and discover how The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands!
At this meeting, participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas on a wide range of topics of Rotaract topics in interactive workshops and listen to interesting and informative speakers, all designed to support and enhance the Rotaract activities underway their communities. Keynote speakers include the leadership of Rotary International.

Location
Preconvention meeting sessions will be held at the McGill University New Residence Hall in downtown Montréal, Canada.
Eligibility
The Rotaract Preconvention Meeting is open to all Rotaractors and Rotarians. Rotaractors are encouraged to participate in the RI Convention at the Palais des Congrés in Montréal, 20-23 June, directly following the last day of the meeting.
Cost
The Rotaract Preconvention Meeting is included in your registration fee for the RI Convention. Be sure to take advantage of the early registration discount! Rotaractors who register prior to 15 December will pay US$75; Those who register prior to 31 March 2010 will pay US$100 ; and those who register onsite will pay US$125.
Registration
Registration for the preconvention meeting will be accepted via post or fax only (online registration is not available for Rotaractors). To register, download the RI Convention Registration and Ticket Form and submit the completed form to your nearest RI international office along with the registration fee.
Please note that registrants who are citizens of countries requiring a visa to visit Canada will automatically receive a “letter of invitation” from RI in PDF format along with their e-mailed registration confirmation. If you have any questions about how to apply for a visitor’s visa, please visit the Citizenship and Immigration Canada Web site.
Housing information
The official Rotaract hotel is the McGill University New Residence Hall. Download the hotel reservation form or reserve your hotel online.
Social events

Rotary Alumni Celebration
Saturday, 19 June

The Rotary Alumni Celebration is an opportunity to reconnect with Rotary, learn about service opportunities and ways to get involved, and celebrate experiences and achievements. This year's event includes notable speakers, breakout sessions, and social gatherings for Foundation alumni and friends. The celebration is open to Rotary Foundation program alumni and Rotarians and their guests.
Location
The 2010 Rotary Alumni Celebration will be held Saturday, 19 June, 9:00-12:30, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal in Montréal, Canada.
Eligibility
Alumni, Rotarians, and friends are invited to attend.
Cost
Tickets are US$25. Alumni are encouraged but not required to register for the 2010 RI Convention. Alumni from 2002 to 2010 are eligible to attend the convention at a reduced fee.

Rotary Alumni Celebration registrants must register online. Note that registration is separate from RI Convention registration and will not be available through the RI Convention registration form.

Youth Exchange Officers Preconvention Meeting
18-19 June, 2010
Montréal, Canada
The Youth Exchange Officers Preconvention Meeting at the 2010 RI Convention brings together Rotarians involved in the Youth Exchange program. Meet new and old friends, discover new ideas, and make connections for future exchanges.
The meeting is open to all convention registrants.
Location
Preconvention meeting sessions will be held at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, on 18-19 June 2010. A leaders meeting and welcome reception are tentatively scheduled for 17 June 2010. The traditional YEO Banquet is planned for 18 June 2010.
Cost
The meeting is free for all convention registrants. Registration discounts are offered through 31 March 2010. Register by 15 December 2009 to receive the lowest rate.
Youth Exchange students (18 years and under) are welcome to register at a reduced rate.

Housing information
The designated hotel for the Youth Exchange Officers Preconvention Meeting is the Delta Centre-Ville. The Tourisme Montréal's Housing Bureau will handle all the individual and group housing requests. Reservations will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis.
