Service, Rotaract style

The Rotaract Club of University of Washington, Health Sciences, Washington, USA, is active in all kinds of projects. In this video, club officers proudly describe their club's mission and service efforts, which have included restoring a local park, teaching Hispanic children about nutrition at a health fair, and holding a dinner and auction that raised more than $7,000 to help send several club members to visit a rehabilitation center in Thailand.

Sheriff speaks out at Rotary club meeting

In this video on the State newspaper Web site, Sheriff Leon Lott, of Richland County, South Carolina, USA, speaks out at a Rotary club meeting in Columbia about investigating U.S. Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps. The gold medalist was shown in a newspaper with a marijuana pipe at a Columbia party. Lott has defended his investigation, which concluded there was not enough evidence to charge Phelps.
