Every year, World Interact Week is celebrated the week of 5 November. Besides participating in service projects, Interactors learn leadership skills and meet new friends. Check out a few facts about Interact, Rotary International’s service club for young people ages 14-18:

• Interact was inaugurated in 1962 in Melbourne, Florida, USA.
• There are 3,050 Interact clubs in Canada and the United States.
• There are 247,043 Interactors and 10,741 Interact clubs worldwide, sponsored by 8,464 Rotary clubs.
• Rotary clubs in about 120 countries and geographical areas sponsor Interact clubs.
• The 1,000th Interact club is located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
