I conic landmarks around the world served as the backdrop for the End Polio Now message the week of 23 February in honor of Rotary's 107th anniversary. They included the Water and Power Development Authority building in Lahore, Pakistan, and Frere Hall in Karachi; the Roppongi Hills skyscraper in Tokyo; Federation Square in Melbourne, Australia; and City Hall in San Juan, Puerto Rico, among others.

Did your club or district illuminate a landmark for Rotary's anniversary? Share it on the Family of Rotary Flickr group .

I was thrilled to read and see the efforts of Rotary worldwide to erradicate this terrible disease. It is heartening to think that so many people care enough and are willing to do something about it, thus avoiding many thousands of people continuing to contact Poliol.

Established a nonprofit organization in 2006 (World Association Workers, Inc.) with the mission to alleviate poverty/thirst/hunger, creating jobs and building wealth(values) for our supporters. Joined the Atlanta Airport Rotary Club Jan/2012. It has been a blessing to regularly meet with with like-minded people who compassionately care about making a difference in people's lives. I can proudly phrase that "I have been a Rotarian since 2006 but did not know that I was until Jan/2012, and every Rotarian is a World Association Worker since 2006 but did not know either". I have designed a program that will catalyse and enhance the mission of Rotarians worldwide yet to be presented.
