John Hewko, Rotary International's new general secretary, recently took on another leadership role: that of a Paul Harris Fellow.

Hewko also has facilitated his continuing Foundation support by signing up for Rotary Direct. The online recurring gifts program sends contributions electronically on a regular basis from a checking or credit card account directly to the Foundation.

"The Rotary Foundation has a long history of financial strength and stability and is one of the world's top-rated charities," says Hewko. "I'm proud to lead this organization and to wear my Paul Harris Fellow pin. I hope the 75 percent of Rotarians who don't currently give to the Foundation will join me in supporting our humanitarian work and in utilizing Rotary Direct when giving."

It's through donations to the Foundation that Rotary is able to fulfill its promise to create a polio-free world, and its mission to "advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty."
