I conic landmarks around the world served as the backdrop for the End Polio Now message the week of 23 February in honor of Rotary's 106th anniversary. They included the Trevi Fountain in Rome; a Lantern Festival gate in Taiwan; the parliament building in The Hague; the globe of the SM Mall of Asia in Manila, Philippines; the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation headquarters in Seattle, Washington, USA; Byblos Castle in Byblos, Lebanon; and the soccer stadium in Cape Town, South Africa, among others.

Did your club or district illuminate a landmark for Rotary's anniversary? Share it on the Family of Rotary Flickr group.

In addition, we were fortunate to have the two words, "Two Drop" on the Time & Temperature Building - a message just cryptic enough to elicit questions and great press. We celebrated an amazing Polio Awareness Week.

Our District 9350 PR Team organised the Landmark Lighting of the Cape Town Stadium. it looked stunning against the night sky but goodness,.... the event was touch and go with mist from the Atlantic rolling in and out all day and, on occasions, completely engulfing the stadium. Mercifully it was 'out' at the critical point.
