T he International Assembly in San Diego, California, USA, gives incoming district leaders valuable information and an opportunity to build friendships that prepare them for the challenges of the upcoming Rotary year -- from eradicating polio to taking the RI Strategic Plan to the club level.

At this year's assembly, RI President-elect Kalyan Banerjee announced the 2011-12 RI theme, Reach Within to Embrace Humanity.
