T he International Assembly in San Diego, California, USA, gives incoming district leaders valuable information and an opportunity to build friendships that prepare them for the challenges of their upcoming Rotary year -- from eradicating polio to learning how to take the RI Strategic Plan to the club level.

At this year's assembly, President-elect Ray Klinginsmith announced the 2010-11 RI theme, Building Communities -- Bridging Continents ( see related story ).
