New RI officers, Foundation trustees

At its first meeting of 2007-08 on 21 June 2007 in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, the RI Board approved President Wilfrid J. Wilkinson’s choices for RI officers. Michael K. McGovern, of the Rotary Club of South Portland-Cape Elizabeth, Maine, USA, is serving as vice president, and Ian H.S. Riseley, of the Rotary Club of Sandringham, Victoria, Australia, is treasurer. Örsçelik Balkan, of the Rotary Club of Istanbul-Karaköy, Turkey, was named chair of the Executive Committee.

The Board also approved the president’s appointment of four Rotarians to serve as trustees of The Rotary Foundation from 2007 to 2011: David D. Morgan, of the Rotary Club of Porthcawl, Mid Glamorgan, Wales; Louis Piconi, of the Rotary Club of Bethel-St. Clair, Pennsylvania, USA; José Antonio Salazar Cruz, of the Rotary Club of Bogotá Occidente, Cundinamarca, Colombia; and Carl-Wilhelm Stenhammar, of the Rotary Club of Göteborg, Sweden.
