T he global launch of The Rotary Foundation’s new grant model, outlined in the Future Vision Plan, is approaching. To prepare your district to participate on 1 July 2013, follow this timeline of major events and related tasks.

Learn in 2011-12

January 2012
- International Assembly (district governors-elect)  

February-June
- Begin planning for 2012-13 (club and district leaders)

May
- RI Convention workshop (open to all)

Train, qualify, and prepare in 2012-13

1 July 2012
- Appoint a district Rotary Foundation committee chair for 2013-16 (district governors)

July-December  
- Identify and appoint chairs for district Rotary Foundation subcommittees (district governors)

August-December
- Participate in GETS and Rotary institutes (district leaders)

January 2013  
- International Assembly (district governors-elect)
- Begin online qualification process (district leaders)

February 
- Begin training and qualifying clubs (district leaders)

February-June  
- Begin applying for Rotary Foundation grants online (service committee chairs/service project organizers)
- Ensure that reports are submitted for all Rotary Foundation grants and programs (service committee chairs/project organizers)

June  
- RI Convention workshop (open to all)

Participate in 2013-14

1 July 2013   
- Global launch of new Rotary Foundation grant-making model

Because the Future Vision Plan is still in its pilot phase, grant guidelines may change before the global launch in 2013.
