GSE is very big and great program me under TRF. I have hosted GSE.team members couple of times and enjoyed warm fellowship and friend ship.GSE is bridge between the country and Rotary dist. The purpose is to strengthen the friend ship and to extend help to needy community through Rotary projects in the areas they have visited but now a days GSE neglecting the primary object of program and making pleaser trip and GSE leader also not up to the expectation of the program, after becoming alumni they close the file and enjoy. But is a great programe.

For the first timeI had an opportunity to host a GSE Team Leader and a member in 1985. Since then every year the visiting GSE team coming to Aurangabad come to my home either to meet my club members, my house being centrally located as a meeting point for all and so on. My observation for over 25 years is that the GSE Team after their visit are not playing an important role as ambassadors. I never came across a GSE Team Member either of incoming or outgoing team propogating the good things they observed during their stay in the visiting or recepient country. In last 25 years 26 teams visited Aurangabad each having one Team Leader and four members. Out of 26 Team Leaders and 104 members how many of them talked good of this place, people, customs, traditions etc. (none). No enquiry is received by me or clubs in Aurangabad from any one of the GSE team leader or member after their return. There is no correspondance between the clubs. Not a single Rotarian of the sponsoring clubs of these team leaders or members visited Aurangabad or our club with their reference. There is no courtesy to send a simple letter of thanks. I feel that the basic object of GSE program is not being fulfilled. A thorough orientation is required before the GSE Team leaves. The team must know the object of the GSE program, what is required to be done by a team member during the visit, what is expected from him after his return, and the sponsoring club's role to get the best out of the candidate after his return will only justify the expenditure incurred on this program.
