Past RI Treasurer Friedmann dies

Fernando O. Friedmann, who served as 1985-86 RI treasurer, died on 20 September.

A Rotarian since 1954, Friedmann, of Santiago, Chile, was a member of the Rotary Club of Las Condes. In addition to serving as RI treasurer, he was an RI director in 1984-86 and a district governor in 1977-78. He also served as a committee and task force member and chair.

Friedmann was the owner of a transport representative company and president, director, and adviser to several industrial companies. He also served as director of several banking and insurance firms. He was awarded a silver medal for distinguished community service.

He is survived by his wife, Monica Lehmann, three daughters, and 11 grandchildren.
