International Institute
Friday-Saturday, 4-5 May

(Welcome reception: Thursday, 3 May, at InterContinental Bangkok)
This event will bring together past, current, and incoming RI officers for two days of learning and friendship. It’s an opportunity to hear inspiring speakers and exchange ideas. Past and future officers will learn about new developments in Rotary policies and programs and engage in discussions designed to make them better resources for their clubs and districts.
Eligibility
The International Institute is open to past, current, and incoming RI officers (including reported governors-nominee and current RI committee members) and their immediate family members.
Cost
The US$100 fee for attendees and guests includes the welcome reception as well as coffee breaks during the institute. A ticketed luncheon will be held at the Impact Center on Friday, 4 May. Tickets are available for $35. You are not required to register for the RI Convention in order to attend the International Institute.
Language
All plenary and breakout sessions will be conducted in English. Simultaneous interpretation will be offered in Japanese and Portuguese.

How to register
For those signing up for the RI Convention in addition to the International Institute, special registration rates are offered through 1 March. Register by 1 December to receive the lowest rate.

Rotaract Preconvention Meeting

Do you want to strengthen your Rotaract club? Learn more about sustainable service projects? Build lasting friendships with Rotaractors from around the world? Then register for the 2012 Rotaract Preconvention Meeting in Bangkok.
Rotaractors and Rotarians will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, hear from informative speakers, and connect with the global network of friendship, engagement, and action that is Rotaract. Keynote speakers will include Rotary International leaders. The meeting will feature sessions to recognize Outstanding Rotaract Project winners and to train incoming district Rotaract representatives.
Sessions will be held at the Impact Center. Meeting times and details will be posted as they become available.

Eligibility
The Rotaract Preconvention Meeting is open to all Rotaractors and Rotarians.
Social events
The Bangkok Rotaract Host Organization Committee is coordinating social events for Rotaractors; information will be posted as it becomes available. Attendees will have the opportunity to discover Thailand, socialize with their peers, and experience Fellowship Through Service.
Cost
For Rotarians, admission is included in the registration fee for the RI Convention. Rotaractors who register for both events by 1 December are eligible for an early registration rate of $50. Individuals can also register for the Rotaract Preconvention Meeting alone for $50. View registration and housing information for both events at www.rotary.org/convention.
How to register
Rotaractors may register by mail or fax. (Note that online registration is not available for Rotaractors.) The same form can be used to register for both the Rotaract Preconvention Meeting and the RI Convention.
Rotarians may also register through Member Access.

Youth Exchange Officers Preconvention Meeting

The Youth Exchange Officers Preconvention Meeting brings together Rotarians involved in the Rotary Youth Exchange program. The meeting provides an opportunity for volunteers new and old to join friends, discover new ideas, and make connections for future exchanges.
Events
A welcome reception for all attendees will be held on the evening of Thursday, 3 May. The traditional Youth Exchange Officers Banquet is planned for Friday, 4 May. Tickets for the banquet are available for an additional fee of $50; purchase them early, as this event often sells out.
Cost
Admission to the Youth Exchange Officers Preconvention Meeting is included in the registration fee for the RI Convention. Participants may attend the preconvention meeting without registering for the convention for a $50 fee.
Youth Exchange students (18 years and under) are welcome to register at a reduced rate.

Special registration rates are offered through 1 March; register before 1 December to receive the lowest rate.

Rotary World Peace Symposium

This event will allow Rotarians, Rotary Peace Fellows, and alumni to take part in a dialogue on peace-building and to learn how political, economic, and ethnic forces can work for -- or against -- conflict resolution. Get up-to-date information from experts in the field, and learn practical skills from peace practitioners.

Schedule
The Rotary World Peace Symposium will begin at 09:00 Thursday. The Rotary Alumni Celebration will join the Rotary World Peace Symposium starting with a combined luncheon (ticketed event) at 12:30 Friday.
Eligibility
The Rotary World Peace Symposium is open to all Rotary Peace Fellows, alumni, Rotarians, and other interested parties.
Cost
The registration fee is $120 and includes access to the Rotary Alumni Celebration. Registration for the RI Convention is not required. The costs of transportation, meals, and lodging are to be paid by attendees. Lunches and dinners are ticketed events; see the registration form to purchase tickets.
How to register
If you’re a Rotarian and will also be attending the RI Convention, you may register for the Rotary World Peace Symposium and Rotary Alumni Celebration using the standard RI Convention registration form. Rotary Foundation alumni and peace fellows who are not Rotarians must use the PDF form. (Online registration is available only for Rotarians.)
Visas
Registrants who are citizens of countries requiring a visa to enter Thailand will automatically receive a letter of invitation from RI along with their registration confirmation via e-mail. For questions about how to apply for a visitor’s visa, see the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.

Cost
